SUMMER 2011

A group of host families invited our Group Leader Irina and her family,
Kristina age 16 and Valeria age 8  together with Vika age11 a youngster who
had been previously in 2010.

It was a very full month with a wide range of activities, surfing, exploring sea caves, hill walking,
 archery, kayaking, outings on RIB boats and around Ramsey Island, a barn dance, swimming
in the Blue Lagoon, rock climbing for Kristina, and much more.

They seemed to find our red painted British phone boxes somewhat quaint. I can't remember seeing
a public phone booth in Belarus but they must have them except that mobile phones have rather
leap-frogged the provision of suchlike.
Carningli mountain was a blaze of colour with gorse and heather in bloom.
