February 2008

A group of 14, 12 girls and 2 boys arrived at the beginning of February. The children were aged
between 8 and 10. The group leader was again Irina Buhor and in addition we had Miss Olga
Sashcheka, a primary school teacher from Ossipovichy, to help continue the children's education
whilst they were away from school. The weather was very kind to us with mostly  fine and settled
days although in the last week the wind got up and produced some great waves  which led to an
exciting visit to the beach for some of the children. Once  again a very full and varied timetable
was arranged by Carole Alabaster with all the many venues that we are used to visiting being
returned to.

" Look on the rocks... here are jellyfish...over there is another..CLASS!
...they're sticking to the rocks..
Look Lera ....they stick on.....they don't bite...what are you afraid of?"
