FEBRUARY 2005
A group of 17 children arrived for a
very full four weeks. This was the largest number we had hosted in one go and
gave us a chance to meet a new leader Raisa. A very successful visit in which
four new families hosted children and
where we went to all our usual venues and
were entertained at Ysgol Bro Gwaun for a day by the sixth form and at
Ysgol
Bro Dewi in St David’s.
Liz McRae did an art session with them and they were welcomed to Fishguard by
the Mayor, Cllr Moira Lewis. Theatre
Gwaun gave them tickets to a matinee
performance of ‘Aladdin’ and Pirate Pete’s and Folly farm were two other venues
visited as well as the BP karting centre in Haverfordwest and the Creative Café,
Narberth
We were given the use of the gymnasium at Brawdy 14th Sig. Reg. and Sgt. Wendy
Manders had a chance to paint
their faces, and the girls came back sporting

Apples donated from Tesco Zhenya wins the 'name the bear' prize! The winning team at Brawdy gymnasium
For the first time a few of the
children attended the St Davids day Twmpath at St Nicholas. This proved to be
very popular with them
and it is likely to become a regular feature. A small part of the dancing
features briefly on the introductory website film. The said it was a great
