FEBRUARY 2004

A group of 14 children arrived and in the early part of their visit it was like spring here but later the weather changed and we had a heavy snowfall which reminded them of home in Belarus where there is snow on the ground from November/December through to April and at times very severe frosts with temperatures plunging to -30/40 Centigrade. Our changeable weather made the children ask “ is it meant to be winter or spring here?”

But it was a chance to enjoy the beauty of a fresh snowfall and go sledging in the Preseli hills.
