FEBRUARY 2003

Our first group visit of children and the first time for Tamara Zossimova, the group leader, from Ossipovichi in
Belarus (pictured left in the group photo..it was a raw blustery day!). The other photographs show two of the girls,
Zhenya and Nastya having a fantastic time. They were the only ones paddling in bare feet on Newgale beach in
February! Everything had to be experienced to the full and later we hired winter wetsuits for them. They had never
left Belarus before or seen the sea in their lives and they loved it.

The visit was very much a steep learning experience for us all although Bryon and Carole and Laura and
Andy had previously had children as part of the Swansea link

Yevgenia (Zhenya) Stepanovna and Anastasia (Nastya) Sergevna on Newgale beach and exploring the sea caves
there and a 'real' wheelbarrow race!
