Many villages were wiped out in the 'Great Patriotic War'
by the Nazi death squads. They wanted us to know about it and we
were taken to view monuments .In the course of the Second World War Belarus
suffered major losses. Every 4th citizen of the republic was killed. The cities
were ruined and more than 9000 villages were burnt.
